Help I brought a bunch of pickles home and now I can't bring myself to eat them.

Holy shit. The imagery of the experiment log here is excellent.

This is pretty well written, almost too well written for a downvote, but I feel as if it alone isn't enough to justify such a short article. The grossout style is good, but it feels underdeveloped, and ends very quickly. The ending didn't really catch me off guard or do anything for me that the rest of the article didn't do, and that's why I'm downvoting.

Edit: actually, on a second readthrough, I can't ignore how well written it is, even if the ending isn't as satisfying as I'd like, so I'm replacing my downvote with a novote.

There's a lot of room for expansion here. How did such an anomaly evolve? Do humans and pickle slugs share a semi-symbiotic relationship? Is there an organic vegetable company that just breeds and sells these things? The basic effect of slugs disguising themselves as pickles is enough for a gross experiment log, but it would work even better as a capstone for a How It's Made segment about pickles.

This raises some disturbing questions. +1.

While this certainly could have been expanded on further, I don't think it needed to be. It used a small wordcount to elicit some seriously disgusting vibes and I rather enjoyed that.

D-41562 consumes each half in several bites. Some entrails fall out of their mouth and onto the table, which they then clean up.

Cause oh man did this make me never want to eat a pickle ever again.

Note for myself: Don't eat pickles again.

I have a family member who's disgusted by pickles. Finds them revolting. I always thought they were weird, since no one else in the family feels the same way.

Having read your SCP, I have a better understanding of their disgust. Thanks for putting me off of pickles for…. okay, probably about a day or so.
