SCP Foundation

Not to be picky, but why did you use the Cernunnos object class? This class is meant to indicate an anomaly that could be contained but the cost of doing so would be too great. Maybe, I missed something but I do not at all see how the foundation could contain this, nor how said containment would come at too high of a cost.

This feels like more like a passage from a history textbook than an interesting story, being little more than a list of things that happened over time. The attempts to tie it in to real people or events didn't cause me as the reader to feel any emotion, and the historical attempts at justification aren't really any more insane than actual attempts to explain phenomena from that time period.

I have to agree with Infinity and Zero above, the use of Cernunnos might not be the most applicable Esoteric class. The only thing I could think of that would account for it is that we have no idea where the "static" is originating and/or discharging. However, given how rapidly the article focuses on the history of the phenomena, there's not even a hint or a red herring from which a reader could extrapolate.

In the end, I'm neither up- nor down-voting this. There's a touch of intrigue, but unless we're given more, I can't really say whether or not I like the concept.
