Lovely article. The personality of SCP-5376 was interesting, to say the least. The dialogue never seemed repetitive and felt natural with very few areas where fluidity was hindered. Also:
[Distantly, an electric guitar riff plays.]
MACCULLOUGH: Where did that come from?
Was probably the funniest part of the article for me.
With all that said, I'm giving this a +1.
Tentative upvote. While I do like the dialogue a fair bit, and think it adds quite a lot to this article, I wasn't too keen on the conclusion unfortunately. The ending came (in my opinion) a little bit too soon and it wasn't really the best-executed sendoff. There's nothing glaring which I think I would do to improve that ending, but just something to note. Otherwise, this was a very entertaining skip to read.
This was an absolute blast of a read, and the dialogue was extremely well written.
Although
Man… [sniffling]/ Man, I could just-
A minor error here, might want to fix that.
If SCP-5376 can detonate even after it has performed a show, what’s the point of letting it perform?
To quote the ending paragraph,
Following its speech, SCP-5376 once again detonated, causing minor damage to the area.
I'm assuming that allowing it to ride motor vehicles and preform stunts doesn't totally remove the risk of explosion, it minimizes the power behind the explosions and likely the amount of times they occur. Just compare the relative size of the first explosion with that of the last explosion.
If the interviewer was able to escape the facility unharmed during the second explosion, I would think it's safe enough to just let it stay in a blastproof room, which would be cheaper.
But then we wouldn't get to see zombie stunts, and I guess in-universe people would like to see zombie stunts too.
This is probably my favorite article. It's so fun to read, and the occasional explosions adds the humour factor. The out-of-nowhere guitar riff is silly as well, which perfectly matches his personality.
I think the rotten flesh and exposed bone is smart too. It gives him the badass daredevil look. +1
