SCP Foundation

This is a bit of a wonky lil' thing for corpsecon. I think it came out pretty well, though.

This is good format-screw surreal horror.

I know I've already voiced my opinion on this one directly, but I felt it worth commenting on the finished article too. I'm a huge fan of this one- you do great work with a difficult format-screw. If someone had told me a few days ago that I'd soon be reading a tense, engaging and narratively satisfying recipe for stew, would I have believed them? Probably not- and yet, here we are! A no-question +1 from me.

Being a format stew can't save this article from being a more irritating version of SCP-2316 or SCP-2602.

Wow! This was creepy and cool. I didn't get the ending, but it was still awesome. Nice work!

This is really clever but I think it overstays its welcome. The first half of this was so good I cannot help but upvote the effort but this could probably do with a few pinches of minimalism in the latter half.

Edit: WOW this was almost a week late! My sincere apologies. I really like the conceit of this, and I think the addenda was very well done - the testing logs + diary entries in particular. It was unsettling in the way that made me get up and close my closet door before sitting back down to keep reading. However - I don't think the recipe part ties in well. I know it's the hand you were dealt, but themes like that need to tie in thematically as well as plot-wise, and the tenuous justification of "it wants to be fed" doesn't quite do it for me - the lake entity just doesn't seem congruent with that manner of trickery imo. I could be reading wrong, but that's my current feeling, so it's a no-vote from me.

This made me feel the same kind of creeped out that David Wong's books make me feel. +1

Looking forward to seeing this SCP get a reading by TheVolgun or maybe get explored on the Exploring series =p. Great use of playing around with the format, never thought I'd see it done in the form of a recipe. Very unique.
