I understand this is kind of "floaty" in terms of language used and it needs some more clinical-ness. When writing this I wanted to avoid strict and precise language in order to not make the entity feel predictable, but in hindsight I've probably gone a little far with that.
Next, the generic nature of this. I feel I could definitely have improved on that and shaped this into something more unique, but I really just wanted to write something basic. Something simple but scary. To me, the main problem with this skip is it's a little too generic, a little too vague, and overall boring, as you said.
I've made some crude edits here and there to address some of the issues you mentioned, but I don't think I can make this as good as possible without completely changing the structure of the article.
