This was weird, very complicated, and an ultimately satisfying read. I really enjoy complex, ultra-religious kinds of esoterica, and this hit just the right tone with me.

Minor edit request: In the Containment Procedures you have "Entry into SCP-5845requires", you may want to change that.

I really enjoyed the first part of this SCP and the second part was…interesting, i like the connection to the Department of Abnormalities as i only recently found out about them and love the concept. As for the rest, the imagery was interesting for sure but maybe due to a lack of almost any context whether my own or due to the article i didn't feel one way or another about them.

I think with a slight addition, providing some context to this hyper religious…whatever this ship was, i'd like it a lot more.

I can definitely tell this was written with care and purpose; a lot of the elements seem random but I get the feeling they're not. Hit-or-Miss: most DoA articles are a 'miss' for me, though this is definitely one of the better ones in my opinion. That said, I'm novoting until I can figure out what the two answers are that the author mentioned and what this is a reimagining of, though I have some ideas.

The clear passage allows contact with the sphere where there is a single, square pyramidal hole 2.5 cm in width and 15 cm in depth.

When I figured out what this was referencing, I felt that familiar dread encroaching on the read.

I think your need to make specific details clear is exceeded by your medium. The cabin being made of olive wood, the crown of specifically eagle feathers, the figure holding unleavened bread…these must be extremely detailed reliefs if these things can be determined by sonar imaging of a carving. Btw, it does seem that what you are describing are reliefs (shallow carved imagery on a wall or surface) rather than murals (2D, pigmented imagery on wall, usually painted).

I gather that this has something to do with 2845 but that's about as far as I can figure out.

Overall I think it's very well written but the puzzle pieces are just too vague to make a cohesive whole for me.
