I've not long finished the game, Outer Wilds, and was absolutely blown away by it, thankfully having heeded the recommendation of many to go in blind. I know it was released last year, but me being a cheapskate only picked it up on the Steam sales recently, having previously been kind of dismissive of it. Now, I can honestly say it's one of my favourite games I have ever played, despite some minor platforming grievances.
I thought that given it's a heavily exploration / discovery orientated game with an emphasis on a narrative that you find in pieces and ultimately have to piece together yourself to find a resolution, it may have resonated similarly with some folks here. Likewise how it draws a lot of technical core plot concepts from the theoretical physics side of science, with time travel, quantum physics, and the like.
If you haven't yet played it, I cannot recommend it enough. Excellent game design, soundtrack, plot.. I find it hard to fault! Really impressive feat of what was a university thesis to then win a Bafta and game of the year awards.
