I really liked this, it was so sweet and wholesome. I really liked how you were able to show that SCP's and the foundation don't always have to be doom and gloom. Keep up the great work :)
I looked over this draft twice, you know my compliments but I might as well state them here.
I think your ability to develop an emotional core from these rather mundane anomalies is something I enjoy seeing you work out and I’m happy how this turned out. Easy +1 from me
easy, easy +1. This isn't trying to be anything that it's not. A clear, direct message that resonates well.
So I would like to explain my downvote. First, the dialogue is very rough and could be polished into a more believable fashion. Second, I just don't feel the emotional connection to these events. Something about the way the information is revealed made me guess almost immediately this would be about someone mourning a loved one and then there would be heart warming moment… it just, for me, misses the mark when compared to my experiences with close, personal losses.
I hope you don't think less of me for being negative on your piece :( but I didn't want to merely downvote without explaining.
All applicable. Why would I think less of you with all this info? :)
Oh I don't know, I just don't like downvoting friends! But thanks for understanding
Seconding Genshed's opinion here that the culture is really well shown. This really hits home for me as someone from the Pacific :D
+1 chiifu
