Seeking Greenlights: Yes
Page Type: SCP article
Genre: horror
Page Layout: Just a normal SCP article
Elevator Pitch: The SCP is a large tree visually identical to an enormous oak. The SCP can not be harmed or destroyed through any normal means, and can survive for abnormally long periods without any nutrients or sunlight, making it essentially immortal.
Anyone who comes within 15 meters of the SCP will feel compelled to violently rub their bare skin against the tree bark; culminating in those affected eventually removing all clothes and “hugging” the SCP rubbing their whole bodies against it after prolonged exposure.
The affected will continue with the rubbing even after death, until nothing more remains of them. Any biological matter rubbed off on the SCP’s bark in this manner almost immediately disappears, draining into the SCP.
The inside of the SCP consists of twisted and malformed human and animal bodies, all connected seamlessly with the normal wooden insides of the tree, functionally being kept alive, though kept firmly in place by the wood.
Central Narrative: Pretty straightforward. SCP integrates living organisms into itself making them immortal. Aside from that, the SCP comes of as being a caring mother wishing to protect all of its children to those who it affects, apparently communicating them. Affected subjects who are removed from the SCP’s presence become prone to depression and self-harm, doing anything to get back to the SCP.
Hook/Attention-Grabber: It’s a motherly tree that absorbs people into itself making them immortal.
Additional Notes: I’ve never written an SCP before so it might take a while before I get a hang of the formatting stuff.
