Hey look I didn't forget to do an author post for this one.

Weiss, despite being the director of Site-87, has never had a tale written from her POV. I felt the need to correct that, so I figured I'd delve into her backstory while exploring what I figured would be her deepest fear: losing control due to aging.

This is honestly where BA IV started clicking for me. Everything's easier to write after this tale, and I'll hopefully get the rest of it out by November 1st, at least.

The only problem I have with this tale is that it's too short.

Weiss is rescued and de-aged too quickly before her internal fear of aging is really developed, and I didn't feel like I actually understood why she was so afraid of it. I'm hopeful that this will return as a point of character struggle later in the series, so I'll give you a pass for now.

This is quickly turning into my favorite of the BA series… I think the characters are being so well developed and I look forward to seeing how Weiss getting younger affects herself and the events at Site-87
