Hey guys, I'm pretty new to this whole scp thing, anyone mind telling me some of their favorite articles or any they find essential? I have only read 963, 5040, 173 and 1471, I would love some suggestions!

I think that SCP-507 is always a good read, its got some horror and some humor.

SCP-093 is pretty in-depth, SCP-1746's pretty quirky, and SCP-2922 is a very cool rabbit-hole.

I'm i'm recommending an SCP, I don't want them to freak out. So i'd recommend something slightly creepy or funny. Like maybe 914, 105, or 023.

I personally think most of the thousand articles are a good place to start. 5000 and 2000 are two of my favorite articles on the site.

I'm a huge fan of SCP-3000. It's got a good cross between mythology, Lovecraftian horror and tragedy. SCP-1678 gives off a very mysterious and pre-apocalyptic feel. And SCP-426 is just a brilliant idea.

Well, SCP-3001, SCP-5733 (this is so good), SCP-4001, maybe SCP-1730 is good too, and of the serie I SCP-093, SCP-914 are a good option to read. And the last SCP-4999, good luck reading and i wait that this be useful for you :)

Try SCP-3045, it's got a nice mixture of humor and creepiness. And SCP-2521 is also executed well.
Or just pick a random article and going forward from there.

The President of The United States Will Scratch Their Nose at 7:53 PM - I wish I had the same level of creativity of the author who wrote this skip.
Miss J's Whiz Kidz Schoolhouse - This was wholesome and I love it.
Uncle Charlie's Toys and Games - A very creepy and disturbing article.
Boom-Boom Words - It's funny with a hint of terrifying.
Exactly the Kind of Genie You'd Expect To Find in an Empty Can of Spam - Comedic, all I have to say.
