Neutral vote. Although I heavily enjoyed lines such as "The floor of its cell is comprised of solid plate steel to prevent SCP-2868 from spreading via roots to other containment cells" it didn't add up to much in the end and the interview didn't add anything that wasn't already in the description. This article needs that next step, something to make this all come together and not be disparate elements. I'm not sure what that would be, though. Maybe what its eventual goal in assimilating all of these folks is.

I'm so glad you posted this! It's simple, but I loved the concept from the beginning and that's definitely enough for me to upvote.

This is a bunch of disparate, random elements kind of thrown together without much regard for anything resembling an overall idea. Blade armed faceless humanoid with roots for feet turns people into street performers by poking them with her roots. This very much feels like something that came out of a random idea generator, and the problem with those is that there's no chance with those to make something that'll really affect a reader beyond "huh, that's kind of weird, I guess."

I concur with Roget that the interview is filler; nothing in there gave us information beyond what could have been read already from the description. It suffers further from the fact that the exchange is kind of silly with the asking the subject their favorite color etc., and the dialogue is stilted and unnatural sounding.

I think the interviews got too many umms and uhhs.

I love the idea, but the interview feels too unprofessional with the umms and uhhs. No-voting for now until that is changed.

I don't follow the interview at all. Not only is it unprofessional, the interviewer's not even asking sensible questions, and then there's random death at the end just because. :/
