SCP Foundation

Hey! Okami here, and I'd just like to say first thanks for all the support and help along the way of the creation of this SCP! I would've liked to say I did it all on my own, but I am no liar and I give credit where credit is due. If not for Zyn's help with the format and clinical tone, I believe that I would've never finished and probably given up eventually. She also helped with making this more reasonable as well as get all the feedback we needed to get it to where it is now. As a result, I think she deserves more than enough to become co-author of this author. In the end, I'm happy to see my first SCP become a reality, and with it's original idea entirely intact as well! Again, thanks to everyone who helped, reviewed, or even commented on the idea post!

74 m² is incredibly small - is there a typo there? Otherwise, pretty cool.

Have to say, that when I first read this in chat, I didn't exactly get it. But rereading and talking about the article with Zyn has warmed it up to me.

Its an interesting way of giving an inanimate object the symptoms of a panic attack, and effective containment through personnel enacting supportive behaviors is an additionally nice touch.

A new twist on 'sick building syndrome'. The glimpse of compassion at the end - the Foundation is cold, but can warm up when it's needed - really made it for me.

So it's a living, sweaty building that occasionally changes stuff inside it, and if you talk nicely to it, it won't make you super-panicky? Am I missing anything?

I agree that the idea feels like it could use a little more, maybe something as to why the building is the way it is, but I think you followed it through well enough to be entertaining, and the containment procedures were well done. +1

Though I initially downvoted, upon further review, I've decided to no-vote. The premise is interesting and the set-up is well-executed, but the resolution feels oddly contrived. Yeah, sure, it's a weird building that's 'experiencing' a very human condition, but the treatment of simply talking to it as if it were, well, a human, just feels too plain; like you've taken the easier, relatively banal route.

Noting that a recent edit was reverted, as it made unnecessary changes (removing commas) and also introduced an error.
