This is good. I'm not quite sure how 173 managed to do all that (unless this is one of the timelines where it started duplicating itself), or where the Foundation people actually went (which is an intriguing question, in this context) but it's still entertaining. And an unusual and memorable "end" for Barat/Bright.
It looks close to fitting, but but in the List of Wonders the ruby pendant is being held by the EverMan.
This could be in the same neighborhood though with a tweak or two. (or if the time line is adjusted so this happened well in the past of the bellerverse.)
Methinks I could only accept this as a Bellerverse tale if it preceeded Beller himself by a few centuries at least. Not enough has been lost yet.
