My entry for day 1 of the jam contest. Short and simple coldpost so I am unsure how this will fare.

You're trying too hard to be meta here.
Uh, can't say I'm behind this one. It used "Man's best friend" as some tagline that should feel relevant and yet feels hollow when you think about it. There is a slither of a good idea here, but I think the dog thing wasted it into a session to generate potential memes to rally readers.

Would you believe me if I told you I didn't notice that until you pointed it out?
e: There actually is a reason behind the "Man's Best Friend" line though. The core concept behind this article is that the person/group/thing that's doing this really loves dogs and has a horrifying way of showing it.

Hmm, I think more dementedness is in order. And I don't mean 'the animal abuser getting a deserved punishment' routine. That's rather typical.
This is one of those skips that's just barely interesting enough to work, but reads smoothly and doesn't take long to finish, so it works all the same. The fact that you went with dogs when you could have easily just used human loved ones is what tipped this into upvote territory for me.
U mean give the D class a dog, not giving the dog to the skip itself?
…the black editcopters have arrived. You saw nothing. :P
is there anything stopping a person from accusing everyone they know in rapid succession?
like if they guess wrong 3 times they lose immediately?
I mean, technically no. But this is sentient to some degree or another, so if it got too easy 3795 might start picking obscure relatives (and the murders might get more anomalous).
Don't screw with it too much, basically.
There isn't a whole lot to this, but I still enjoyed it. It got the idea across effectively enough, someone or something likes dogs so much that they decided to kill dogs to make people appreciate them. It's twisted, crazy-person logic, but that's how horror be sometimes. Did anyone else get some AWCY? vibes from this? Just me? Okay.
