SCP Foundation

The next in a series where I confuse everybody, in-universe and out, it's a scip about the last man alive! Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it — multiuniversal stuff is always a blast, and multiuniversal diplomacy doubly so.

I am really confused by this

This is Rick and Morty-esque in the best way possible. I really love everything about this except for the final stinger, which crossed the line to feeling too Rick-and-Morty for my taste. Still, enthusiastic +1.

My thoughts are two:

1) The containment procedures are overdramatic, with the whole "If you dare harm him, you shall be terminated! Do not touch, look at, enter the containment chamber of or even think about this anomaly, this means you!"

2) If they can access other universes, why not find one already stripped of human life — maybe even one a Lloyd has nuked — and stick all the Lloyds there? They'll never die!

…Though I kind of feel like that suggestion requires the "guy pointing at head" meme image. :/ It might not be a good idea.

I think this is the most I've been torn on an SCP, ever.

I really, really wanted to like this. The idea of a man always being forced to be the last person alive in the universe is both ambitious and great fodder for pathos. Your efforts to describe in-detail the Foundation's relationship with other universes is very interesting, if a bit contrived.

However, I find myself compelled to -1 for the lack of the aforementioned pathos. Your article is about one of the most horrifying things that can happen to a person and yet, fundamentally, lacks humanity. How does Lloyd feel about this? What is it like to experience this over and over again? These were questions I hoped would be addressed, but never were.

This is a technically solid and intellectually fascinating work, but I require humanoid SCPs to emotionally engage me, and this just didn't at all.

I adore this SCP. This is incredibly well written and I find it really compelling. my +1 is not even in question.

This is pretty cool, but I'm a little confused in a few places:

Should the probability of SCP-3856-1's imminent death rise above 0.01% at any time, they are to be immediately ejected to the nearest inhabited universe.

The full range of SCP-3856's effects are not known, but the primary element appears to be the fact that Researcher Lloyd will inevitably (100% chance, no observed margin of error) cease brain activity only following the elimination of every other extant human (defined as a non-anomalous instance of homo sapiens, native to the relevant universe) within the universe in which they currently reside.

Addendum.1: Event 3856-Alpha: On ██/██/████, despite agreed-upon travel protocols, a single instance of Researcher Lloyd manifested within Site-54, equipped with standard Foundation provisions and equipment (circa 1880 AD). They were later determined to have originated from U-4046Y

What are "they"? Does "they" refer to multiple instances of Researcher Lloyd?

Amazing idea, Amazing execution. I love meta scps, and interuniversal scps. The punchline was great too. +1 from me.

Alternate title suggestion: "Interdimensional Hot Potato".

So you can stick a bunch of Lloyds on a populated world and they'd only trigger a localized K-class, hence not every Lloyd universe is necessarily doomed. In which case I'd repeat the dumping strategy on some sacrificial world, except send over a Lloyd with a chest bomb the moment they start getting spiteful. Or have the multi-foundation gang up on any organization in that sacrificial world that's aware of Lloyd, THEN start dumping.
