I was told to go here to develop a tale involving SCP-639. Apparently, not a lot of people know about 639, but I wanted to make a tale involving it.

So, it looks like no one commented on this and it fell to page 5 with no replies. I believe that might be because you've just told us about which SCP articles you want to use, without giving us a plotline or breakdown of the story beats you intend to use. If I recall correctly, your draft had the same primary issue—there seems to be too much reliance on the SCP as the narrative crutch rather than telling a good story.

Start with the setting and the characters. Where does the story take place? Who are the characters and why should the readers care about them?

Then the plotline. What's the story? What's the climax? How is it resolved? Give us more than just "I want to write something, anything, about [this SCP]."
