I really loved this film. It was not what I thought it was, and it played with xenophobia in a very uncomfortable way to a point where even the twist, as ridiculous as it would have been in any other context, actually worked and made it even creepier.
That fine line I mentioned in the summary of this post, between satire and horror … well, for me, it was like a finely paced joke with an excellent subversion of expectations and that pay off you always hear about with comedy and good storytelling: which makes sense as its director Jordan Peele is a comedian. But what did you all think about it, and you think that the Foundation may have encountered similar instances of the Armitage Procedure before?
