Basic idea for an SCP: barbed-wire that grows like a weed or a vine, that has basic memetic effects. The SCP would be found in areas where major battles of WW1 took place, Verdun, Gallipoli, Tannenberg, and the like.
I moved your thread summary content to the first post and trimmed it above, OP, since it was taking up a lot of space on the forum listing. Try to keep thread descriptions under 7 lines so you don't visually crowd out other people's threads. ~Zyn
Concept: Plant-like barbed wire that spreads across old battlefields that induces mild psychological effects, I was thinking it would be similar in appearance to an infestation of thistle, with mustard-esque flowers instead of the usual purple, but more vine-like in nature. The "vine" would creep across landscapes winding through what used to be no mans land, eventually overtaking nearby structures, gathering foundation attention.
Memetic/Psychological effects: In short exposure subjects near the vines would experience rapidly developing forms of depression beginning with dysthimia, and other mild forms of depression, eventually developing into major depressive disorder (over a period of roughly a month). After roughly two months of exposure the effected would begin to exhibit symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, experiencing flashbacks of war time trauma, violent outbursts, and extreme irritability. After prolonged exposure of roughly 6 months subjects would begin to experience delusions that they themselves are soldiers in WW1, fashioning make-shift gas masks, forming squads among themselves, and eventually having open firefights with other affected individuals.
The flowers: The yellow bulb like flowers that sprout off the vines would be similar in composition to mustard gas. The pollen if inhaled would cause similar effects to actual mustard gas.
Post exposure effects: If separated from the vine and treated properly subjects would experience hallucinations of ghostly soldiers in their every day lives.
