This is… not true? I don't think the UIU is magic.
One of their agents could accidently stumble upon that house. Of course my initial comment was initially wrong (certain GOI's are not magical), but every single GOI can theoritically be applied to any concept in my opinion. I know that shoehorning GOIs into random SCPs is frowned upon in this community, but it's certainly not impossible.
Can you provide some workable ideas specific to this article?
Anderson Robotics developed a "smart house" that accidentally gained sapience. It acts on it's own accord and tries to improve it's "life" as much as possible - for example, it grows some mold on a wall to get it repainted, or it secrets a toxic substance from it's bricks to kill some ivy growing on it's wall. On a particular day, an arsonist attempted to burn it down, and the house immediately [DATA EXPUNGED] him.
This idea is kind of bland and too Series-I-y, but you get the concept. A random backstory tends to hurt articles more than it helps (don't worry, I read the newbie guides), but this wasn't the question OP asked - my answer's purpose was to throw in some very basic ideas and show that almost any idea can work. Throwing out some guide quotes seemed a bit too dismissive, so I wanted to offer some positive support and encouragement.
