Once again, basic planning stages.
Once upon a time, in good ol' Daevite land, a woman (called Mother War for now) wanted to live forever. So, she went through many barbaric rituals to bind her spirit to a certain symbol. Mother War could issue commands to everyone who had this symbol branded into their skin, but could "body-hop" into a woman who had the brand. Using this, she became practically immortal, as long as she kept up a cult.
During her millenia-long life, Mother War had many children, all of them men. This was fine for a good while, because they could be used as soldiers, but eventually she wanted a body that she could call hers permanently. To this end, she enacted many more barbaric rituals on herself and her unborn son in an attempt to have a daughter who would never die. This failed, and she birthed a son who had Klinefelter syndrome (a genetic disease that comes about when a child has XXY chromosomes. Symptoms can be found here https://ghr.nlm.nih.gov/condition/klinefelter-syndrome )
As Mother War is not as cold-hearted as one might think, she let her deformed son try to prove his worth until he came of age. He failed, and was cast out on his 18th birthday. But, as he still had the brand, he had to obey Mother War's commands, even if she didn't want him to. This led to him wreaking havoc in many a town, and eventually catching the eye of the Foundation, who captured him and currently has him contained.
Where will I go with this? I'm not quite sure. I know I'll have The Son eventually tear Mother War a new one, probably at the expense of his own life, but the steps leading up to that point are fuzzy.
Does this need more? Yes, it does.
Is it interesting?
