Hmm. So I took a quick look at this, and in all honesty, I feel like there's a fair bit that can be done to make this more reader-friendly. Granted, I'm a fan of the existing Amnestic Use Guide because it provides a quick breakdown of each class and a quick, short series of informational snippets before giving us the detailed explanation. What's present here just seems more on the jumbled and overwhelming side.
Out of universe, I've never been a big fan of how the original amnestics use guide classifies amnestics by their strength and not by their function.
Incidentally, I'm of a different opinion. For people who don't necessarily memorize a ton of buzzwords, having the amnestics classed by strength makes it easier to remember them when they're encountered in articles. Of course, some people are fine with regarding amnestics as standard "erases memory", with variation in just "how much" memory is removed. I like the idea of amnestics that vary by function, but I personally would have trouble remembering 9+ classifications.
I feel like the foreword is too long and distracts from the better stuff, which is the actual description of amnestics. I also feel like the amnestics descriptions could use a quick bullet-point overview before the detailed explanation, or even just only bullet points for ease of reading and memory jogging.
I dunno. With the focus of this seemingly more on the start and ending bits, rather than the amnestics themselves, this feels more like a tale as it is now.
