Oof, I'm not articulating this correctly. I meant by servants I mean it's offspring, I'll keep it to that particular term from now on. It wishes to watch over living things, hence the offspring that form from it, and I'll go with your point, it seeks to protect what it sees as kin!
As for your question, I see the idea of it "helping" as an idea the Foundation hasn't capitalized on. Also, I really wanted to make an SCP that has problem-solving tendencies. But also, I wanted to make an SCP that wasn't hostile, but instead ready to help.
Now, I did also backtrack and explain that the Foundation, if I did indeed make a draft, would never let this thing do anything, but of course, it would always have ideas about how to help. The offspring created, in my opinion, I want to be able to move and complete menial tasks, so, in a crowd situation, I wanted the SCP to, for example, knowing the outside world, be like "I've arranged these creations into a pattern for more efficient cleaning."
Then the creations would then pantomime cleaning in a specific way in order to do blah blah blah.
I wanted to create an SCP that could talk and think and problem solve, while being a strange entity. It wants to help, and I know that the Foundation would never let it do anything, but it would still very much attempt to show them it could help with basic things that it assumes "the humans" have problems with.
I actually basically did a small mockup for like containment procedures and descriptions, in the sort of style I wish to approach it with, if you want in the next post I can copy/past it? Cause its problem-solving ideas would only come from what it could see and the way I did its containment would make sense for the cleaning scenario.
