SCP Foundation

So, without going into huge amounts of detail, I have an SCP that whose appearance is addictive, essentially people become dependent upon his presence. The SCP is aware of this, and thus knows that the D-Class personal used in research are dying, and it isn't comfortable with that fact. I plan on having the SCP in an interview interject and demand that the foundation stop performing test on it. Obviously that is not an option, but I think the researchers would have the tact not to simply say "you are our property and what you think does not matter", because while that is true, saying so blatantly could be disastrous. How do you think a researcher would react in this situation.

If the thing is causing deaths of D-Class, I'm pretty sure the Foundation would be smart enough to suspend the tests at least. Throwing a bunch of D-Class at an anomaly confirmed to kill them is a waste of a valuable, limited resource.

I tend to headcanon that the Foundation is extremely paranoid and prioritizes thorough containment over human life, so I'm less put off than many readers are by them throwing a bunch of D-class at something fatal just to find out precisely how fatal it is.

That said, an interview where a humanoid anomaly lectures the Foundation for not valuing human life enough is one of the oldest and most overdone SCP cliches I can think of, and I can't see it holding up well as the core or key moment of an article.

As far as the interview, they would probably be pretty structured and stick to predetermined questions as much as possible to prevent this exact situation; if moral issues came up, the researcher would probably deflect with a sympathetic-but-neutral response like "I'll make a note of that for my supervisor."
