So, I started off the bat with an idea similar to this, and got something I think could work. What do you think? Note: definitely will need better wording since it's me telling the idea, so clarification will be sort of unclear.
Alright, so here's the idea:
There have been recent disappearances of people in a hunting area and local authorities have deemed them to be animal attacks, but there are signs of animals that are usually docile at the scenes of the incidents, so some police stakeout in the forest at night to find someone walking around at night with different animal species following him around. They take him in, but mysteriously disappear too, and the man flees back into the forest again. An undercover Foundation agent catches wind while in the area and reports back to 'HQ'(as I'll refer to the Foundation as) to see what to do. A minor MTF unit is dispatched to the area as to not attract attention and scouts the forest with a researcher following.
Then we end up at the start of the tale. That was a backstory to give somewhat of an idea. I know it may not be clear, and I apologize for that. The idea is in my head, but I dunno how to word it without exceeding the 7-line limit, so a backstory, I think, will do. What do you think? And before anyone asks, yes, I know I should try to explain why the tale should be interesting, but I can't do that until I know how to word my idea.
