My idea basically consists of a charred corpse, made up of an unknown gas that cannot be accurately measured with today's equipment. The outer boundaries of the SCP are described as "fuzzy", but professionally speaking, it is considered blurry. The figure, while not having a face of sorts, makes the subject that is introduced to or is sought out by the SCP feel as though it's being watched, as if the figure is genuinely watching it. The motives for such are unknown, but through experiments, logs, and much more, the story is being unraveled as more development goes into the SCP.
More can be found in the following block:
Description: The SCP is what appears to be a charred corpse, but its state of matter is widely accepted among the SCP's main researchers as being a gas. The outer boundaries of the SCP are described as "fuzzy" to the common subject, but it is widely accepted that the SCP is blurry or indistinct. The SCP has no specific bodily features; it, in a general sense, is a gas-like being that is 1.88 meters tall with an indistinguishable bodily width, with no specific features but has control over itself.
The SCP holsters a variety of abilities, none of which seem intentionally harmful but if used incorrectly, can achieve a level of hostility. The SCP's powers consist of utilizing its gas state, as the SCP can seemingly lengthen his body by protruding gas towards an object of significance. For example, the SCP is able to protrude gas to retrieve a barrier to defend itself if needed. This instance has happened during the capture of the SCP. The SCP can use its protruding gas ability to harness other types of gas, such as noble gases, but seems to prefer not to unless in a state of danger. The SCP, after all of these abilities, seems genuinely harmless and cooperative, as researchers have theorized that the SCP is passive and wishes not to harm unless provoked.
When provoked, however, the SCP will first try to peacefully defend itself. If its peaceful approach does not help, however, and is in need of assistance or is required to become hostile, the SCP will begin to protrude pillars of gas that seem to be slightly metallic, as when the pillars grow, slivers of metal seem to shine. The SCP will then use the gas pillars to stab, jab, slash, or cut, proving that these gas pillars have extremely sharpened points of metal that are used to defend or attack. These metal pieces have no explanation as to where they originate, but researchers have suggested that the metal seems to be drawn from nearby objects or sought out and brought to the SCP from wherever possible. This theory has been proven, as a careful study of the SCP fighting has allowed researchers to see extremely thin gas lines penetrate the containment cell, effectively drawing out some metals. The SCP's defense seems to have an immense success rate, and if even this defense fails, the SCP is then thinned down to an extremely small sheet of gas (approx. ~75,000nm), only to rejuvenate after a span of 25-40 hours (depending on the severity of the attack).
What is most mysterious about this SCP, to its main researchers, is the SCP's original motives. The SCP was originally found skulking around in bushes, stalking its subjects, observing them. The SCP has no distinct facial features of any kind, but the SCP seems to "stare" at a subject, giving the effect of heightened senses and anxiety/nervousness within the SCP's subjects, basically signifying that the SCP is actually watching the subject. The motives are unknown, but with more tests and logs come more bits to this puzzle.
It seems a bit lengthy, I know. I hope this is not classified as a full draft - I did not intend on such! I ask that anyone may -
1) help me with an underlying story to this SCP
2) some containment procedures
3) object class (I'm debating on safe, Euclid, or Keter)
4) possible abilities
5) general critique, additions, suggestions, etc.
Thank you all!
