SCP Foundation

so, this is the 1st time i'll be writing an SCP. I do not know its numbering as of yet. its a faceless humanoid that has conversations with people and discusses normal topics, however its anomalous property (other than its anomalous property of having no facial features) activates when it tells its name. the name basically "embeds" itself into your mind, every name you've ever heard is "replaced" with this SCP's name. no matter how hard you try, you cannot remember any other name, even if its the name of someone REALLY close to you. you hear every "new" name as the SCP's name, aswell. so you can't be reminded. this also extends to writing. thus, it permanently changes every name you've ever heard and every name you will ever hear to its own.

I do think this is a rather interesting idea. The only SCP I can think of that is similar (although I'm not even close to having read or remembered them all) is Allison Eckhart. Instead of just names, it's also perception of the various elements of Allison.

Some questions to help facilitate brainstorming:

1.) What is the SCP's goal? Is it a victim of some anomalous trait, or is it doing this on purpose?
2.) How far does the replacement go? Is the victim aware of this, or do they just go with it?
3.) What is the SCP's name? Can you remember your own name?
4.) Maybe don't make the SCP an odd looking humanoid (unless it's malicious or something) but just a normal person. (This isn't a question, I know)

In terms of narrative, maybe an individual who was exposed to the SCP a while ago is discovered. He's been living with this for a while, and has been noted as coming up with complex methods to avoid having to refer to individuals by name.

or

Maybe the name isn't even the name of the SCP itself, but someone important to them, and while everyone who knows its name can't move on from the name, the SCP is unable to remember the name itself. So the two effects are reversed.

Just some thoughts.
