Alright, let's get this train of though rolling!
I first started reading about the SCP Foundation when I was in the seventh grade, by watching a play through of Containment Breach. Since then I've avidly followed the Foundation, reading up on as much as I possibly could, trying to sate my need for goosebumps like the horror junkie I am. Now, five years later I've for the first time decided to join the SCP Foundation, and am very excited to take a crack at writing a skip. I don't expect it to go perfectly, far from it really, but I feel now is as good a time to start as any.
Initially, I had this weird idea about a species of endothermic shrimp that would essentially convince anything sapient around it through some kind of cogniohazardous telepathy that it was also a shrimp of the same species, thus luring it in for consumption or what have you. I toyed around with the idea for a bit with some friends, but ended up scrapping the idea in favor of something else entirely, which brings me finally to my idea.
The skip itself would be this phenomenon of sorts, in which a lemonade stand operated by SCP-***-1, a child of varying race and gender, but always appearing between the ages of 7-11, appears when presented with a specific set of circumstances. It only appears outside of vacant or abandoned houses, that were previously owned by a family with children. I wanted the skip to revolve somewhat around the idea of loss in a family, specifically losing a child, but this is where I'm getting stuck. I have the very, very basis of an idea but nowhere to run with it. Would really appreciate some help tinkering with the idea, thanks a bunch!
