Hey! Huge thanks to everyone who helped me make this on the forums, and on the Site-19 chat room. Here's to my first of hopefully many more skips to come!
Very good read. It's nice to see a malevolent SCP with an actual goal beyond existing to be spooky. I feel like this should be Keter though, due to it being un-containable?
Aye! You're right, when I first posted it to the sandbox it had initially been keter, but I changed it back after having removed a rather troublesome incident report I wasn't too happy with. Changing back to keter, thank you!
I liked this, but I felt that the usage of [DATA EXPUNGED] was clusmy and bad - enough to prevent an upvote. Other than that, I thought this was well done.
can I get some nice "no signatures on my forum"
sigma-9 css machine broke
understandable have a nice day
I had originally considered including what SCP-3563-2 does when it enters the house, but opted to instead redact the data in favor of including the ' Subject was covered in human cerebrospinal fluid' line. I felt that this gave the reader the idea that something bad was definitely happening once the child enters the house, but I wanted the reader to go fucking wild with their imagination.
You left a "[optional time info]" in one of the interview logs. I'm pretty sure this was a mistake, so I removed it. Just FYI.
Congrats on a successful first! Great dialogue, nice premise. Never thought I'd read about a capitalist, organ-harvesting ghost - good job all around, and I can't wait to see what comes next!
Thank you so much!
You know, if there's one philosophy that hat wearing phantasms believe in, it's obviously the power of the American dollar.
I like the premise and the interviews here (enough to definitely +1 this), but the censorship is getting on my nerves. Why can't I know how many people have entered the house, or how many foundation personnel have died? It feels unnecessarily restrictive.
It's been a while since I saw something that expunged people to death. Got a real nostalgia rush off that, and given that it's the only instance, I'm totally okay with it being here.
an unknown liquid metal with consistency similar to tar
I'd buy that for a quarter!
'Expunged people to death' honestly got me to laugh harder than it should have. Thanks for the upvote!
This started out promising. Then I read the logs and the promise was fulfilled. My headcanon has Mr. Hat as a thinner, less flamboyant Babadook. I have no idea what happens inside the house, and it works great that way.
I admit I'm not partial to TWKY SCPs, but this is an exception. It doesn't kill to kill, it kills with a rational economic goal - and that's something that happens in the NotFoundationverse.
Oh man, that's a great headcanon I love it! I picture him as something more of a Raymond Reddington lookin' motherfucker, but I really like your interpretation.
On an unrelated note, what does TWKY mean?
leaving behind only the organs, monetarily valuable on person belongings, and — on several occasions — teeth that have been filled with precious metals.
This reads strange to me. It might need fixing, or it might just be my parsing issues acting up. However, that aside, the fact that these are the things left behind seems to play against the fact that organs, monetary valuables, and teeth are the very things being sold by Mr. Hat.
