A bed which measures at 180cm x 200cm, with silk pillows and a duvet which generates a temperature which changes to suit the person using it. The matress is described differently from each person who uses it, and it has an aroma which appeals to the majority of people.
The idea which I have is a bed which no matter what, will always give the person sleeping an 8 hour sleep. While theyre asleep nothing can wake them and they cant die.
E.g If a D-Class were given a cyanide pill to swallow and then went to the bed, they would sleep for 8 hours, but once they woke up the poisoning process would continue.
The backstory I was thinking of is that when ordering matresses for D-Class personal for sleeping, this bed arrived. It was bigger than usual, and its anomalous properties were first noticed when a Researcher noticed staff were in an intensely deep sleep.
While the bed is not being observed, it will reset to its original appearance, i.e a made bed. If items are left on it, such as a clipboard, crumbs or a spilled drink, they will be removed by unknown methods once it is not being observed.
