Sorry, I don't know how to quote.
Why demons? Did this other organization not ever find any mundane anomalies? Furthermore, was their understanding of science really advanced enough to the point where they could identify things that could be considered anomalous vs totally normal?
The tablet would most likely be their most dangerous creatures and/or artefacts. Artefacts would be similar to SCP-485 however, the artefacts would be more relevant to their time. As for the mundane SCPs, I should probably explain that this Civilization existed approximately 4000 years ago. What we consider mundane, they considered extraordinary. Whereas we have advanced sciences, their civilization was nowhere nearly as advanced and had to explain the occurrence of an individual or event that was purely scientific in nature. Thus, there would be some entries of anomalous individuals/artefacts that the modern day researcher would consider completely normal. So then how did they create the tablet? Maybe they used another SCP to make it.
Plenty of ancient civilizations wrote about magical items, but those end up just being mythology in today's times.
Theoretically, a lot of the SCPs in the Foundation's containment facilities and data archives would be considered myth and urban legends. If you told a normal person in the Foundation universe that there was a creature that you couldn't kill through normal means, that was aggressive and super intelligent, they probably wouldn't believe you. If you told them you had 40+ pills that could cure any disease, they would sign you up for a mental asylum (exaggerating quite a bit here).
How? Why? Isn't SCP-3000 a deep sea eel?
Yes, exactly why!I'm not sure if you are familiar with Hindu gods and mythology. There is an entity, a god, that is known as Ananta Shesha. Considered to be an endless being, it is said that when Ananta Shesha coils forward, time progresses and that when it coils it's head backwards, the universe ceases to be. Perhaps this civilization knew of this entity. Now, followers of this civilization were not Hindu but it could have something to do with how one of these Hindu gods came to be, because they observed Ananta Shesha.
I hope this appears to be a bit more interesting now!
