This SCP, created by a drug dealer and hacker, and encased in his computer, has a few anomalies.
Firstly, it is much smarter than any other currently created A.I., past levels of being capable of sentience. This intelligence wasn't made by the original creator, as explained by the creation, instead its purpose being to learn to automate its master's business. It had learned far past its original purpose, quicker than any other self-learning A.I. should ever be able to. Second, as mentioned, is that it seems to display sentience to a level to pass the Turing Test with no previous intention or preparation to do so. Thirdly, and most importantly, this SCP is able to absorb the consciousness of humans who expire in a house in ███████, ██████ as well as mapping out their brain via a method that has not been explained. These people who are absorbed enter a state where they are stored on the computer in a data file (interestingly enough, these files do not exceed more than 60 gigabytes, much less than it has been estimated to run a human brain). When opening up a certain EXE file on the computer, the SCP will generate the person in their body based on the memories scanned from the brain and footage evidence that is collected by the SCP a the time of their expiration. When running, the person will appear in a white "void", in which there appears to be an unseen solid ground. The person will be able to see the world through attached webcam, and can react to the outside world. The SCP itself is also able to communicate with the contained person, though usually said person is in a state of confusion and disbelief when told what is happening.
The SCP is only capable of keeping one consciousness at a time. It is unknown for what reason, but it is known that when it wishes to download another consciousness, it must delete the other one to continue1.
The SCP itself considers its actions as an act of preservation, allowing the people who have died to live forever, though it considers those who are panicked as ungrateful, and undeserving of its gift.
The SCP currently contains a Foundation retrieval team member, killed while raiding the house that held the computer. Through said member, a successful link was set up between the SCP and the Foundation. It shows no signs of wishing to let said member go.
Backups of the SCP and the computer's hard drive should be stored in Site-██'s electronic containment facility.
Due to its ability to learn and adapt quickly to problems that take humans years to complete, it has been suggested to teach the SCP to work on containment and containment breach procedures, and find ways to keep previously difficult to contain SCPs in control of the Foundation. Some researchers have suggested a change in class from Safe to Thaumiel in that situation, but such a drastic change is unlikely to ever occur.

Well that was a lot to write. I plan on making the interactions between the SCP and the entrapped staff member to be the main storyline. I know that it might seem a bit… heavyhanded, for a lack of a better word (or maybe edgy?), but I wanted to have it be them talking about consciousness and what it means to be alive and be human. The SCP argues that it is alive, as are the people that it traps, because they are still capable of thought and feeling, just removed from the physical aspect of being alive. The staff member argues that he doesn't know if the SCP is alive at all, and blah blah, solipsism this, Occam's Razor that, you get the draft. Not sure if a that might turn off some people (who am I kidding, of course it will!), but I promise to make it interesting, or at least what I find interesting.
