Okay, giving this a quick read since it's on page 3 with no replies. Here are my thoughts:
Containment doesn't make sense. How does one put a room inside a steel container? Did the Foundation just build another room around the room, including underneath? Also, requiring that someone obtain permission from three O5 Councilmembers is ridiculous—they've got way more important things to do.
Also, SCP-XXXX-2 isn't ever mentioned in the containment, which later makes the sub-designation confusing because SCP-XXXX-2 can't actually be contained. Besides, since the effects apparently only manifest when one person is inside the room, for all the Foundation knows it could just be a hallucination effect.
Also, the room itself is pretty small. It's more of a closet really, assuming the 3 meter measurement is the room's height. Where is the room anyway? Why is it octagonal? Who might have built it?
I don't buy the greediness of Researcher Smithson. It seems like a contrived plot point just to force some drama and tension into the otherwise boring object. Ditto for the remote explosive being given to the D-Class sent inside.
The entirety of the "A message from 05-3" comes off as more of a person trying to apologize to their friend, rather than the top dog of a shadow organization explaining things to people with complaints. I say just take all of that out.
I dunno about this. The concept of "meeting better versions of yourself" has been addressed before (I actually wrote something that relates to the topic, SCP-2885) but I don't particularly like the "people use that knowledge to cause chaos for their own selfish reasons" approach. Also, the portrayal of the Foundation here just seems too unrealistic because they get so much wrong when they should be better at handling these situations.
Did you happen to get the concept checked in the Ideas and Brainstorming forum before writing this draft?
