SCP Foundation

I've been in some sort of SCP "shitposting" group for about a week or two, in which everyone keeps posting the same memes over and over, and this has been starting to "trigger" my gatekeeping senses. Therefore, the best idea I came up with would be to write a -J SCP in which I make fun of myself, sort of. I don't really know if there are any -Js about elitist SCP members/readers, but I plan to give it a shot. The idea is pretty much parodying "The Gate Guardian" into "The Gate Keeper" or "The Gate-keeper Gurdian". I'm waiting for suggestions and somewhat approval of this idea.

Ehh… what's the joke here? How is gatekeeping funny?

I mean, I am likely biased because I've heard several stories of people whose children were harassed because a big fan of [insert franchise here] saw that their kid was wearing a shirt with a logo or character on it and started interrogating them to make sure they were enough of a fan to be allowed to wear the shirt or something. I'm not entirely sure about how you would spin that into something funny.

In all honesty I think there's quite a bit of comedic potential in this one. Gatekeeping is a part of the SCP community, and lampooning that element via inversion or exaggerated portrayal could be very funny. That said, you need to be careful of the tone you take. The aforementioned gatekeeping is for a good reason, maintaining the quality of the website, so overly-caustic humor could come off as bitterness over that fact rather than a good humored parody of site culture.
