The final section of notes really made this great.

I see what you did there,

I probably missed the cameos, but it was an amusing read overall. However, the fact that whoever wrote the diary actually managed to get away after he was both noticed and had been hit by the after effects of an explosion seems like a rather unrealistic scenario that exists solely so the author could write one final entry, to me at least. The final note indeed adds a nice "But wait!" there, but I can't say it was exactly unexpected. No vote.

This is reasonably interesting, but goddamn the narrator is obnoxious. No vote.

This started out good. Then it got better. Then it totally bombed out at the end with "the scary magic was real and now the journalist is missing."

Little thing that irked in in the final line. It looks like you were using phonetic alphabet on that last line. If so, you would probably want to use Romeo instead of Romero. Just my opinion though. Otherwise, it's a decent tale.

Was native american left lowercase intentionally?
