Happy Easter, everyone! Hope you enjoyed gorging yourselves on chocolate eggs yesterday *smirk*
Oh, and thanks to Smapti for reviewing this.

Oh, and thanks to Smapti for reviewing this.
You've obviously done your research. Bravo.
This also reminds me of that animal that is not a cat but has cat in its name and can turn into water, and, when ingested, panics and burrows out of the stomach. What was that one?
Seconding what Smapti said. I like the idea, but the tone is pretty shaky at the moment. As a general thing, try to avoid referring to instances of a SCP object as "they/them."
Also, what does "westernized" mean, exactly? You should probably find another way to say it.
Also, also, are the eggs just clones of the father or what?
On the clones thing
Given that they are clones of the parent, all eggs are genetically identical.
I do agree on the tonal issues though. Felt a bit off, especially during the last paragraph.
Just to clarify, I added that bit after Gaffney brought it up. I did intend to mention it in the first place, but I wasn't sure whereabouts to mention it.
What have you done to my favorite food? YOU TURNED IT INTO FROGS THAT'S WHAT D:
+1
Well-researched, but I don't feel like this does anything special that other oh-so-clever (in-universe) parasites do just as well, if not better. Plus, spending a paragraph talking about the statistics of esophogeal rupture really detracted from the piece.
if your reading this your gay
First off, I really liked the writing style and how clearly written this is. Well done in those areas.
That said, I have to agree with Scan. It was fairly predictable, falling into the overused tropes of "parasites what grow inside you" and "things what look like inanimate objects". Nothing about it seemed terribly interesting to me.
The article is decent but theres stuff in it that is just plain unnecessary such as the last sentence of the containment procedures and that entire paragraph droning on about esophegal rupture statistics.
K, removed the last sentence of the containment procedures and footnoted the esophegal rupture statistics.
