I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, and I'll tell you that the How to Write an SCP page has been updated. In order to help maintain the quality of new articles, everyone should go ahead and re-read this page.
Great article, very Informative. :)

im trying to make an interview log with my SCP and I still don't know how to make it begin, can someone plz help
justin marquez, if you have a question about writing for the site, please make a new thread for it in the General Advice forum. More people will see it that way, and you're likely to get a faster response since people routinely check that forum for questions that need to be answered.
If by "make it begin" you mean you're not sure about how to start writing an interview log, you can look at existing SCP articles for examples. If you're not sure about the coding, the "Templates" tab of the How to Write an SCP Guide has a simple coding example you can use.
If you have further questions, please use the aforementioned General Advice forum.
Name.
Think we should have a quiz at the end as well?
Ekzentric Lohner.
How about a quiz dispersed throughout the page, numbered/lettered/roman-numeraled in random order, each question possibly referring to things well below or above its own position and/or requiring answers in the form of examples, personal opinions, or haikus? That way, people couldn't just copy the answers of other posters.
In my defense, it's spelled wrong, and it's really just my name with all the vowels replaced with "o".
Plus, you said it too.
Drdog:
STOP.
You are responding in places where there is no need or reason to respond, and it it extremely annoying. Cut it out.

All that went through my head the first two times that I read this was this: Be specific, use grammar, make the dots connect, make readers understand why the special containment procedures is how it is, give the SCP a little bit of a story, don't just say it does something, don't make it short, and really that's all I can remember. I've attempted creating my own once, and oh boy did it fail. What am I missing?

Getting feedback on your drafts before posting. As mentioned in the 7th bullet point under the "Developing Thoughts" tab. Getting feedback on a SCP before posting is generally one of the most important steps- it gives you a chance to see where you're making mistakes and how to correct them.
Otherwise… well, you've already seen what generally happens if you post without getting feedback first.
