Well, I dunno what's going on, but I feel like it fits in well while making the skip even more convoluted somehow. This is continuing to unfold in interesting ways, unusual for an SCP article, though I do have to ask what I should be taking away from this. The much-denied Agent Locke had personal ties to whoever did that to 2048? Something about a racial conflict?
Aside from the connection between the two, and "subhuman mongrel"'s likely tie with the rebellions in the south, it's implied here that the "range" of the Anabasis's effect is much smaller than was being publicly reported. As well, the implication that there might be more than one.
The racial conflict stuff was covered in the first supplemental here
There seems to be a surprising amount of depth to 2084, but I have to admit, the piecemeal release of supplemental material makes it hard to follow overall.
tha's okay, it's all meant to be read together in one package/sitting.
It's okay for stuff to rely on other material for full context, but I feel like there has to be some idea of what's going on within the article itself in order for it to serve as a standalone piece. I'm going to go reread the parent piece, which I sort of remember, in order to see if this makes any more sense, but right now I have absolutely no idea what's going on.
Also, I know that there's reasons stylistically for the dialogue to be written the way it is, so I won't say that it's an error or anything, but it was a little difficult to read at times for me as I cringed at the internet-speak. That's more of a personal preference, though.
1) What is this "cult"? It's racist like the Western Civs, but seems to be different than them.
2) The Foundation isn't like what?
3) So was the SCP they used supposed to be a history-reset thing where reality within a certain radius was left unaltered? Or was the history-reset unintentional as well?
1) Rhiannon's "cult" is basically like John Brown-type radical abolitionists—they are violently opposed to the Western Civ party and its racial segregation policies and are for race mixing and the like.
2) Isn't like the US Federal government in this universe, which would be likely to torture and imprison someone or have them executed.
3) Sure, why not.
Hopefully this and more has been covered in this hub of stories

This is the 3rd entry I've read from what appears to be something called the anabasis hub.
I actually started with 2084's email correspondence, and yeah, I've read through without skimming, so +1.
I have to put a disclaimer down though, I am 100% not down with racists or facists, and my +1's are for my standard minimum of being able to read an article without skimming or being unable to suspend belief.
