This is the discussion related to the wiki page SCP-043.
I dunno, this one seems to me like a good start that doesn't quite carry through. It's not a threat, and there's really nothing we can learn from it (assuming we're not all that interested in music). The notion that someone or something is capable of making such an object is disturbing, but the object itself is more of a curio.
It might be more interesting if, say, the entity had no knowledge of any events occurring after November 22, 1968 (the release date of the White Album).
It needs some spice.

Revolution 9 is actually the 29th track of the White Album, or the fifth track of side four. Does that matter enough to edit it, or is it too pedantic?

Well, more important is the fact that the White Album is two discs. The article seems to imply that there is only one.
Kinda funny how no item on this website creeps me out more than this.
The Beatles are straight up made of creep. When a friend first told me about the 'mythos' surrounding Paul and all their weird creepy, background shit, I couldn't listen to their stuff anymore for a while because it creeped me the hell out.
I don't know anything about The Beatles, so someone explain the creep factor for this? It's just a record that talks.
They don't need to be. sefirosu200x was just wondering why some people were creeped out by it. I'm wondering that as well.

There was a Beatles "Paul is dead" thing too, which only adds to it if you knew about it…
"Paul is dead" isn't creepy. It's literally just an average conspiracy theory about some famous person dying and being replaced by a clone. People come up with crazy stuff like that all the time, it should be treated with the same lack of respect as the flat earth conspiracy theory gets.
There is nothing about The Beatles that make this SCP creepy. I wouldn't even call it creepy, unsettling is a better word. Anyways, what makes this SCP so unsettling is the fact that it refuses to answer questions about The Beatles. The part at the end definetely suggests that this album was made specially for someone by The Beatles. And if they made this, then they aren't normal musical artists, they are anartists. And who knows what other anamolous art The Beatles made? Chances are this isn't the only anamolous record.
A talking record isn't creepy?! ;-) I think the fact that such a thing exists is informative enough to keep it around. From what I've read elsewhere, it seems easy to think of SCPs in the context of The Foundation, which makes some of them seem a little "meh." BUT that's what I like about this and others like it (e.g. SCP-005). They're creepier if you think about discovering them in your house today.
Could it maybe be changed so that you can ask the voice to make things happen to people in the music industry?
Like, if you ask the voice, do you think Justin Bieber will end up breaking his neck in a freak yachting accident, the voice will say, "I think that's likely…" and then it'll happen like a week afterwards?
It could also be implied that John Lennon was assassinated due to someone using this ability. Maybe through a change to what the note says.
The author hasn't been seen in three years, so that kind of question is up to Senior Staff.
Since it's at a comfortable score, I'd bet they'd say "No."
